Gin & Daggers – Jessica Fletcher

cover Gin & Daggers

We all know the TV Series, but there’s also a series of novels!

Jessica Fletcher visits one of her dearest friends in London, Great Britain, Marjorie Ainsworth. Marjorie gets murdered and Jessica briefly is a suspect. She decides to figure out what has happened to her dear friend and why she got murdered.

Gin & Daggers is the first one in the ‘Murder, She Wrote’ series. I love it! Can’t be more blunt than that. Although in this book the murderer was quickly known for me, it didn’t take away anything of the essence of the book. It had mystery, lots of mystery, but not in a gory way. I also loved the characters and how they interacted. What also was a plus for me was that it was in First Person view. Not usually I am not the biggest fan of First Person, but I think if it would not have been written in that, it would have been a downside to the book. First Person, thumbs up!

I highly recommend this book to everyone that likes light mystery books or cozy mysteries. Can’t wait to start on the next book, I have a few ahead of me, since there are like 40+ book to this series!
