Book review
A suspenseful and well-rounded thriller that doesn’t disappoint! I’m so glad to have been able to finally read this book. It took me longer than I anticipated, but it was jam-packed with subplots that I had to work through as I read, and ended up taking too long a break with it while a library loan, and had to wait to request it again.
After a horrible accident and an untimely bout of amnesia, a mysterious woman finds her way to the home of an islander named Nica who has never been known to turn down the chance to help someone in need, even if her brother Kai is wary of why the woman they call Jade so conveniently shows up and can’t explain why she’s there.
As luck would have it, though, Jade’s memory is restored, and she finds herself caught in more trouble than she ever imagined, which threatens the safety to her new acquaintances and others she holds dear. She’s a celebrity with the world watching her every move, and what started as a family vacation to clear her mind ends up being a chase for the man responsible for wanting to harm her. Along the way, she’s got choices to make in who she loves, what she believes, and how she wants to define herself in making a real difference in the world. Definitely a book with meat, and one I’d recommend as a must-read!
