Tracking You – Kelly Moran

cover Tracking You

Book review

I haven’t read book one but had no trouble beginning with this one. It only made me want to read the previous one ;p and the next one and probably Kelly Moran’s other work. Because I’m really impressed. She’s a new author to me and I didn’t expect to love this book so much nor to find such a wonderful writing style who may remind me of Jill Shalvis or Marina Adair, but I found in her work original ideas, adorable details I haven’t see before and I have to say, one of the best and most believable transition from friends to lovers.

Talk about slow burn ! The sexual tension and the feel… it was breathtaking. Flynn is the one who always has feelings for Gabby (since kindergarten). But the fact he didn’t want to ruin their friendship, make things awkward at work (Gabby work as a veterinary tech at the clinic he co-own with his two brothers) and women tend to overlook him because of his disability (he’s deaf. He can talk but never do except with his dog and sometimes with Gabby), doesn’t gave him the confidence to take a chance. I really liked the fact the story focus more on the hero’s POV. Talk about an endearing character !

Gabby feel discouraged because men always put her on the friend box or ask her to put in a good word for them to her sexy and fickle sister. It comes at a total surprise for her to realize that her boss and best friend Flynn now look at her with desire in his eyes.

Recommended for you  The Sisters Brothers - Patrick deWitt

This book is now in my list of favorites for the reason I was talking before. But also because when Flynn thinks about Gabby, you really feel the love. It’s not about how hot she is or how she looks. It’s about her compassion, her kindness, her understanding and the natural glow she exude. It’s about her inner beauty. Because I liked how one of the secondary character open Flynn’s eyes about his and Gabby’s dynamic. It’s because of the way they handle the change; talking about it, hesitating and then realizing it’s not going away. It’s because Flynn is one of the most romantic hero I’ve ever read ! It’s because the beautiful golden retriever on the cover is in the book too ;p It’s because of the chemistry not only between the protagonists but between the whole gang, the brothers and the other girls. It’s because Flynn and Gabby had a beautiful friendship who evolved into a beautiful romance.

Can’t wait to read the rest of the series to see if it’s just as good as this one !
