Book review

This one of the most fast pace books I have ever read. Nothing is as it seems and nobody is who they are. There are so many twists and turns you will end up tying yourself up. With that said I am giving this book a 5+ star moving right along with saying this is one of the best books I have ever read. Its Always Been You is a touching love story of losing it all and getting a second chance. It is a powerful read that shows you true love never dies no matter what even in death. It is a story that will touch your heart, curl you toes and leave you breathless, while getting your heart to be almost out of your chest.

Travis is a former Navy Seal who started Blake Security which has become a national success. In forming this company he is able to get information in high places. His wife died 3 years ago and life just hasn’t been the same. He can’t get past it, in fact he doesn’t believe it. He is so sure she is still alive and out there somewhere. Which is driving his family and friends nuts. They want him to move on, his mother wants grandchildren. After 3 years his wait has finally paid off when he gets a call that his wife’s BFF is found, he is dead. Wait he was already dead, could this mean his wife is alive? Within a few days a women appears and it is his wife or is it? This could be the happiest day of his life and would be if the women remembered him. She has amnesia and does not know him, in fact she flips out when he tells her she is his wife.

Caitlin has been on the run for 3 years, in fact since the day she woke up 3 years ago was the day her life began. She remembers nothing before that. Her lover just left her alongside the road, he is shot, hurt and bleeding and tells her to go to the American embassy and she will be alright, that he is not the one she loves. She is lost, alone and confused when she makes it to the embassy. Things become more confusing for her when she finds out she has a husband and everyone in the government wants her. So want her alive and some aren’t too picky. What could make one little woman so important, what could she know and what do they want with her? There is a husband she doesn’t know and she thinks he might be crazy. He is even scary when he tells her she is his and NO ONE BUT NO ONE will ever take her from him again. Talk about alpha caveman all rolled up into one.

Watching these to get to know each other, through all the changes and difficulties was a pleasure. This is one story I didn’t want to end. It has a wonderful ending and closure but things are still left unfinished in my eyes. I can’t tell you what that is for that would give some of the story away.

This book starts out with action and that is the way it stays almost until the very end. You will find yourself saying throughout the book you have got to be kidding me, no way, and you find out yes way. I had a very hard time putting this book down and I didn’t want it to end. This is my first time reading this author work and it will not be the last time.

I am glad to have read that the author is working on Gabe and Bee’s story I am sure it will be just as a wild of a ride as Travis and Caitlin’s was. I am hoping in their story we will find closer to those questions of Travis and Caitlin.

At first I thought this book was a little out there, but then it settled down and became one of the best reads this year for me. I found this story to be believable I could see our government having things of this nature in the works.

I found there wasn’t a character in this story that I didn’t like. Even the bad guys have a heart that you can live with. This is truly one author I can’t wait to read her next work. I received this book as an ARC for a tour for my blog and I say where do I sign up for the next one.
