Book review
Personally, I will probably never, ever in my life will find a book as fucking unbelievably perfect as this one is! I mean this book has literally taken every fucking single emotion out of me and heighten it to extreme levels that I can’t even function right! By far, this is the best book of this year! It’s mind numbing, heartbreaking, heart racing, exciting and thrilling ride. Where you absolutely never want to get off! i most certainly did not want this book to end! (I know there is a second part btw)
Jay Lincoln. I mean come on the name alone is fucking hot. I knew I was in trouble as soon as I learned his name.
Anyways lets get started. Now in the beginning when Lily first met Jay and the way he way described I was fucking hooked. I loved the fact he was in ways considered normal for awhile. Meaning, he worked, he worked out you know, did normal guy things. The scars on his face, which I will get to later. Made him seem unperfected in the most perfect way. Even though Jay kills people for a living. I still adored his character the most! Anyways after he scared Lily in the beginning I was sure she wasn’t going to go anywhere near him again but then good ol’ mom does it again and sends her back over with a plate of food for Jay. Jay was shocked just as much as I was right then and there I knew I liked Lily’s character.
I’m not one to like many girl characters but I loved Lily for some reason. She’s probably one of the normal type girls i’ve read about. The major fact was she wasn’t clingy. Which was huge points in my book! She went to Jay for help after her attack for him to train her in defense. I loved those scenes when they’re working out together! The fact she was a bad ass with a gun made me like her even more! And the fact she kicked the shit out of her ex. Such great scene!
Then the raceway track scene. Their first kiss. That was a perfect fucking scene I tell ya! It seemed so real when I was picturing it in my head.
The sex scenes where so well written and holy hell impressive! I must say! Jay and Lily were made for each other! Literally.
Now, Jay Lincoln is the fucking man dude. Besides when he up and left Lily. That wasn’t cool man. But again I understand why he did it.
The marker has to be found and killed at the hands of Jay only. The Marker is one of the most sickest characters and so well thought out character. Actually, scratch that this entire fucking book is so well thought out I’m just blown away.
Anyways back to the malicious Marker. How he kills, why he kills and who he kills is just appalling! The fucking claw that he uses literally made me sick to my stomach picturing him. It also made me think of Freddy Kroger. He might as well be Freddy. The Marker kills anything at anytime but he plays it by his game rules. Three people in three minutes at one time. Just fucking crazy! The he marks his victims when he choses them to live until they come seeking revenge like Jay does and earns three marks on his face after the mark kills both his parents in front of him. My heart broke for six hear old Jay ‘Noah’ witnessing his parents death. 🙁 i seriously hope Jay rips him to shreds! Btw I would have never suspected the marker to be a sibling to Lazar.
Though this book is basically my new favorite book ever now. I do have a favorite scene that melted my heart completely which is the scene where Jay confesses every bit of detail he was holding back from Lily. To protect her and keep him from losing her or her being afraid of him. I loved how she knew she wasn’t going anywhere no matter what he said to her.
Then the ending…the I love you’s. she getting on the plane to leave. Him staying behind to kill the marker and find Arianna. Oh my god this book is just to addicting!
Part two hopefully will come out early next year because I possibly will go crazy if I don’t know what happens next this book is just simply that fucking good!! Ughh!! I want part two now!! D: 🙁
READ THIS BOOK PEOPLE ITS INCREDIBLE!!!! Especially if you like books like carter reed, the beautiful disaster, crows row. Etc. trust me you wont get bored and you wont regret it!
